Scope

What this policy covers

This policy applies to public use of Hatchery.com, including page visits, contact forms, chatbot questions, preference settings, and similar site interactions. Customer projects, production environments, managed AI access, payment systems, and private repositories are governed by separate written agreements, statements of work, security terms, and data-processing commitments where applicable.

Hatchery LLC is based in Bozeman, Montana and works with customers across the United States. This policy explains what this public website does today and how Hatchery handles site-related information.

How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and evaluate whether Hatchery is a fit for a project.
  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve the website, chatbot, forms, and public content.
  • Prepare proposals, support customer relationships, and manage normal business communications.
  • Protect Hatchery, customers, site visitors, and systems from abuse, fraud, security threats, and misuse.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, contract, and dispute-resolution obligations.
  • Send service or business communications. Marketing email, if used, must include an unsubscribe path.

We do not use this public site to sell personal information. We do not currently use public-site data for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide the required choices.

AI

Chatbot and AI interactions

The public chatbot is intended to answer questions about Hatchery using indexed public site content and approved Hatchery reference material. Chatbot questions and responses may be logged so we can improve answers, detect low-confidence responses, troubleshoot errors, and maintain security.

Do not put confidential customer data, trade secrets, source code, regulated health data, payment card data, credentials, passwords, government identifiers, or highly sensitive personal information into the public chatbot or public contact form unless Hatchery has given you an approved secure channel for that purpose.

When Hatchery builds or operates customer AI systems, those systems are handled under separate project terms and controls. Aegis and secure AI access work may include identity, approved model routing, logging, audit trails, cost transparency, and policy enforcement specific to that customer environment.

Sharing

When information may be shared

We may share information with service providers that help host, secure, maintain, analyze, or operate the site and business systems. Those providers are expected to use information only for the services they provide to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, to investigate misuse, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent. We do not knowingly sell public-site personal information.

Rights

Privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, opt-out of sale or targeted advertising, limit certain sensitive-data uses, appeal a denied request, and avoid discrimination for exercising privacy rights. California, Colorado, Montana, and other state laws may provide specific rights when their legal thresholds and definitions apply.

You can make a privacy request through the contact page. We may need to verify the request before acting. We will not require you to create a new account just to make a privacy request. If a request is denied, we will explain the reason and any available appeal path where required.

If your browser sends a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will treat it as an opt-out request where required and where the relevant type of processing is enabled. At this time, Hatchery does not sell public-site personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Cookie choices Use Cookie Settings to review current public-site cookies and browser preferences.
Security

Security, retention, and children

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the public-site context. No website, network, or transmission method is perfectly secure, but security is a core part of how Hatchery builds and operates systems.

We retain information for as long as needed for the purpose collected, normal business records, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and service improvement. Retention periods may differ for public-site inquiries, chatbot logs, customer contracts, project systems, backups, and legal records.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this public site. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can review it.

Contact

Questions and changes

Use the contact page for privacy questions, rights requests, security concerns, or requests to update or remove public-site information you provided.

We may update this policy when our site, services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated date above shows when this policy was last revised.
